A new fixer seems to be on the rise in Telangana. Named Ramakrishna aka RK, he takes pride in claiming that he can get any ‘task’ done in the Telangana police department in general and in Hyderabad city’s west zone police limits in particular.

What is more surprising is that his ‘adda’ is one of the official places of work of a police officer in the city police. Sources said the fixer is familiar to all the staff including the sweeper there. In fact he calls his clients to the cabin of the police officer for discussions.

The fixer throws lavish parties to ‘select’ police officers in his farmhouse where he arranges ‘entertainment of all sorts’ for the participants.

What more! Some officers become chefs at the party and cook food for the participants. In the garb of parties, the fixer weaves his network of contacts. Sources said that one ACP in the city police coordinates within the Telangana police all the ‘tasks’ assigned by the fixer, while another ACP, who is presently working in a specialised wing after gaining experience in the task force in the past, handles high-profile cases involving narcotics.

The fixer boasts of having the blessings of a Congress leader nicknamed ‘AD’. The fixer is said to have gifted a luxurious apartment to the Congress leader in a posh locality for the ‘support’ the latter has been providing him.

With the Congress leader behind him, the fixer claims that there is no problem which he cannot fix in the west zone police limits of Hyderabad.

While the lower level officials watch helplessly, the fixer continues to rule the roost from the office of the sub-division level cop. It is time the higher ups look into this matter and ‘fix’ the issue, lest the image of Hyderabad police is going to dip further.
