Hyderabad: Receptionist posing as Plastic Surgeon held

He is just a receptionist at a hair transplant and plastic surgery center. After noticing the growing demand for hair transplantation, he became greedy and hatched a plan to make quick bucks by cheating gullible people.

Aslam Shafi Sayyed of Bahadurpura worked as receptionist at Redefine Hair Transplant and Plastic Surgery Center at Gachibowli. But he decided to don the mantle of plastic surgeon and make quick bucks.

Consequently, he started a hair transplant clinic in his house at Bahadurpura posing himself as plastic surgeon notwithstanding the fact that he did not study medicine. He did not even have any certificates. Yet, he started posing as doctor without having any skill or experience.

The south zone task force team of the Hyderabad police got wind of the fake hair transplant clinic and raided the same along with Kalapathar police. Police seized incriminating material from the clinic and took the quack into custody. A case has been registered for impersonation and cheating against the quack. Further investigations are underway, deputy commissioner of police, task force, S Rashmi Perumal said.
