It is producers who circulate rumours: Sonali

Veteran actress Sonali Bendre accused film producers of creating and circulating rumours about intimacy between actresses and actors.
The actress, who quit films after marriage, is making a re-entry after a long gap. She is making re-entry with ‘The Broken News’ Season-2. She recalled the industry conditions in 90s while speaking as part of the web series promotions.
“I entered the film industry in 1994. Lot of rumours linking me with co-stars were circulated though there was not an iota of truth in them. Producers of the movies used to create and circulate those rumours just to ensure promotion of their films. I was shocked after I learnt about this,” Sonali said.
She also said that people used to taunt her because of her zero size those days. “Actresses at that point of time used to be chubby. Some producers used to comment about this directly on my face. However, I never took those comments seriously”.
