Criminal case filed against Daggubati Suresh, Rana

Pramod Kumar of Munna United files the case

One of the accused in BRS MLAs poaching case, Nandu Kumar Kore aka Nandu’s business partner Pramod Kumar Pachva has filed a private case against film producer Daggubati Suresh and his actor son Daggubati Rana in connection with a land dispute.

Pramod Kumar and Nandu have taken a piece of land Daggubati Suresh owns in Jubilee Hills for running a restaurant. Later, Pramod and Nandu refused to vacate the land. Moreover, they made unauthorised construction over the land.

Consequently, both the parties filed civil cases against each other. Even as the cases were pending, GHMC authorities demolished the unauthorised construction in the first week of November when Nandu was in the thick of MLAs poaching case controversy. Pramod was allegedly in hiding at that point of time.

With the MLAs poaching case slowly fading out, Pramod approached a local court stating that the Banjara Hills police did not act. They alleged that Suresh and Rana hired anti-social elements, threatened them and compelled them to vacate the land. The court took cognizance of the complaint and issued notices to Daggubati duo.

Meanwhile, sources in the knowhow told The Wallpost that Pramod and Nandu had to approach court since they could not influence Banjara Hills police to register the case. Some time ago, the duo used to call the shots in Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills police stations since they had the blessings of a Commissioner of Police.

Sources also spoke about the modus operandi of Pramod and Nandu wherein they take prime buildings on lease. Later they initiate legal proceedings making false claims thereby harassing the landlords.

Pramod and Nandu are allegedly notorious for blackmailing the landlords and extort huge of money to vacate the building. Reputed persons such as Daggubati duo, Suchir India Infra promoter Dr. Lion Kiron and Sandhya Convention’s Sridhar Rao are some of his victims.

Sources said some corrupt babus made investments in the businesses of Pramod and Nandu. One such corrupt babu is Jyothi Kiran, the then Excise Superintendent of Nizamabad, arrested in 2017 on charges of corruption.  The ACB had conducted searches at the residences of Pramod and Nandu as part of simultaneous searches carried out at the time of raids against Jyothi Kiran in 2017. Sources said Jyothi Kiran used to park his ill-gotten money in the companies or in different properties through Pramod and Nandu.
