Four Sri Chaitanya officials held for student’s suicide
Cyberabad police on Friday arrested four officials of the Sri Chaitanya Junior College in Narsingi in connection with the alleged harassment of a student leading to his suicide.
It may be recalled Satvik, a first-year Intermediate student of Sri Chaitanya College in Narsingi, hanged himself to death on Tuesday night.
Later, police found a suicide note from the belongings of Satvik. In the note, Satvik is said to have alleged that Principal Krishna Reddy, Admin Principal Acharya, campus in-charge Naresh and another official Shobhan subjected him to harassment compelling him to take the extreme step. He demanded stern action against the officials.
Consequently, police registered a case and arrested Krishna Reddy, Acharya, Naresh and Shobhan. Police produced the accused before a local court and sent them to prison.
