G-20 Summit: Delhi police train 19 women commandos as markswomen

The Delhi police is giving special training to select woman commandos as ‘markswomen’ keeping in view the G-20 summit.

Delhi police will provide foolproof security to the visiting delegates during the summit. Keeping this in view, we are giving training to our woman commandos, an official said.

A team of trainers from Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Madhya Pradesh has so far trained 19 women SWAT commandos. They have successfully completed one-month rigorous course, a source said.

The trained commandos will act as frontline security guards cum sharpshooters during all events of G-20 summit to be held in New Delhi.
