Humiliation led Satvik to commit suicide: Police
Intermediate student Satvik committed suicide due to severe physical torture and mental humiliation at the hands of Sri Chaitanya college staff, police said.
Police levelled the charge in the remand report while producing the accused Sri Chaitanya College staff before the local court.
According to the remand report, college staff abused Satvik in most foul language in front of fellow students in an apparent bid to humiliate him. The college staff also beat Satvik mercilessly in front of the fellow students. The boy felt deeply humilated with this frequent humiliative behaviour of the college staff.
Moreover, two of the accused Acharya and Krishna Reddy beat Satvik black and blue on the day he committed suicide, the remand report said.
Earlier, Board of Intermediate officials submitted a preliminary report to the government on this unfortunate incident. According to the report, Satvik was given admission in some other college, but his classes were conducted in Sri Chaitanya. The officials also said that Sri Chaitanya Group of Institutions could be following similar modus operandi in its various colleges.
