HC confirms life term for Maddelacheruvu Suri’s killer

Telangana High Court on Thursday confirmed the jail term awarded by the Metropolitan Criminal Court in Nampally for Bhanu Kiran, accused in the murder of Rayalaseema factionist Gangula Suryanarayana Reddy aka Maddelacheruvu Suri.
The criminal court in December 2018 awarded life imprisonment for Bhanu Kiran for shooting Suri to death on January 4, 2011 in Navodaya Colony area of Sanathnagar.
It may be recalled that Suri orchestrated the murder of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader and factionist Paritala Raveendra aka Paritala Ravi.
Later, Suri was shot to death by his own associate Bhanu Kiran, who had challenged the life term imposed on him by the lower court.
After hearing, the High Court confirmed the prison term awarded to Bhanu Kiran.
