Cops seize Rs. 6.67 crore from hotel related to BRS ex-MP in Karimnagar

In yet another shocker for the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), Telangana police seized a whopping Rs. 6.67 crore unaccounted cash hidden in Pratima Hotel in Karimnagar.

According to official sources, the hotel is owned by the brother of former BRS MP, Vinod Kumar.

The BRS cadres are already in a shock following the arrest of former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter K Kavitha in connection with the alleged Delhi liquor policy scam.

Based on reliable information, Karimnagar police led by assistant commissioner of police, Narender swooped down on the hotel and carried out searches. Finally, police found unaccounted money stashed in oil cartons and hidden in a room in the basement of the hotel.

The hotel management failed to give satisfactory reply about the huge amount of cash. Consequently, police called revenue officials and seized the cash after conducting panchanama. The entire process was videographed. Later, police informed the Income Tax authorities following which 10-member team from Hyderabad rushed to Karimnagar and took over further investigation in the matter.
