Lasya Nandita’s sister to contest from Cantonment

Nivedita, the younger sister of late MLA Lasya Nandita, has announced her intention to contest in the upcoming by-election for Cantonment Assembly constituency.

The by-election is necessitated following the unfortunate demise of Lasya Nanditha in a road accident on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) on February 23.

Addressing a media conference after a meeting with supporters and activists, Nivedita said she decided to contest the by-election to serve the people on the lines of her late father and sister.

She expressed hope that the people of Secunderabad Cantonment assembly constituency would support her candidacy.

Appealing to other parties for their cooperation in making the by-election unanimous, Nivedita said she would soon meet the party high-command in this connection.
