Doctor booked for misbehaving with minor patient in Hyderabad

A person engaged in the noble profession of doctor was booked for misbehaving with a minor girl, when she came to her with a complaint of stomach pain.

According to police, the victim, a class 12 girl, was brought to his clinic at Kukatpally Housng Board Colony (KPHB) on December 3 morning when she was suffering from pain. The accused took the girl into a room on the pretext of examining her and misbehaved with her. The doctor forcibly shut the girl’s mouth when she tried to raise an alarm.

The girl was so frightened that she did not even inform her parents immediately about the doctor’s behaviour. However, the girl suffered stomach pain again on January 22 when her grandmother wanted to take the girl to the same doctor. This time, the girl refused to go to the maniac.

It was then the grandmother of the girl tried to know the reason when the girl disclosed the shocking truth about the doctor. Immediately, the information was given to the father of the girl, who in turn lodged a police complaint over phone.

The Cyberabad SHE Team made enquiries after which a case was registered against the doctor at KPHB Police Station under the provisions of POCSO Act.

In another case, SHE Team sleuths arrested a police constable working with City Armed Reserve (CAR), Hyderabad on charges of rape and cheating.

According to police, the accused, Gavvala Hariprasad met the victim through Jeevansathi Matrimony site and proposed to marry her. The unsuspecting woman believed his words and moved into a living relationship. The accused took the victim to OYO Room on different occasions for physical relation. Subsequently, he refused to marry the victim. Later, the victim came to know that the police constable was engaged to another woman.

Immediately, the victim lodged complaint with SHE Teams. Based on the complaint, police arrested the accused and handed over to Madhapur police.

In a release, Cyberabad police said that as many as 10 cases of cheating in the name of marriage have been received in January alone.
