Court rejects bail for Kavitha in Delhi liquor policy case

The Rouse Avenue Court on Monday refused bail for Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader and Telangana’s former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter, K Kavitha in the Delhi liquor policy scam.
The court rejected Kavitha’s regular bail plea in the cases registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as well as the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
Earlier, the CBI had informed the special court that the BRS leader had ‘threatened’ witnesses in the case.
It is pertinent to note that Hyderabad based Aurobindo Pharma promoter Sharatchandra Reddy, who is an accused in the money-laundering case linked to the alleged liquor scam in Delhi, had turned an approver in the case.
