Telangana High Court orders CBI probe in MLAs poaching case

In a huge setback for the BRS government in Telangana, the High Court has directed the state to hand over the sensational alleged MLAs poaching case to the Central Bureau of Investigation.

It may be recalled a single bench of the Telangana High Court had already quashed the SIT constituted by the state government to probe the case and directed that the case be handed over to CBI.

However, the state had filed an appeal challenging the single bench order. But, the division bench of the High Court while confirming the order of the single bench, dismissed the appeal observing that the appeal is not maintainable.
