Tourists can ride Pushpaka Vimanam in Ayodhya soon

Tourists can soon experience a symbolic ‘pushpaka vimanam’ ride in Ayodhya.

The Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation Ltd has invited proposals from companies operating helicopter services for the joyrides in Ayodhya on a pilot basis.

It is pertinent to mention here that almost every Indian, who knows Ramayana, is aware that Ravana had pushpaka vimanam and that Lord Ram had returned to Ayodhya from Sri Lanka after the war.

Those who wish to have an aerial view of the majestic city of Ayodhya would be able to enjoy the joyride, with a feel that they are travelling in Pushpaka Vimanam, for relatively nominal costs, an official said.

Those who want to take a chopper from Lucknow to Ayodhya or those who want to have a quick joyride over Ayodhya can soon have the facility since UP government has its own helipad in Lucknow as well in Ayodhya.

The chopper facility to and from Ayodhya will also help those tourists wishing to save on travel time.

The state government maintains its own fleet, including three aircraft and three choppers.

Before the Ram temple comes up by early 2024, the first phase of the construction of the Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram Airport, is expected to be complete.
