UP: Woman held for burning husband’s private parts with cigarette

Uttar Pradesh (UP) police arrested a 28-year-old woman for allegedly torturing her 30-year-old husband by burning his private parts with cigarettes.
Usually, the cases of domestic violence are reported against men. But in this case, it happens to be the other way round.
The victim, Mannan Zaidi of Bijnor district had approached the police some time ago alleging that his wife Mehar Zahan was subjecting him to domestic violence under the influence of narcotic drugs. However, police did not take it seriously.
Consequently, Zaidi installed secret cameras inside his house to gather evidence. The cameras captured her act wherein it can be seen Zaidi tied up and Mehar burning his private parts with cigarette while smoking another. She could also be seen sitting on Zaidi and inflicting burn injuries with cigarette.
Zaidi collected the visual evidence and contacted the police. The cops were shocked to see the visuals and immediately registered a case against Mehar. The injured was rushed to hospital for treatment and the accused has been arrested.
