Kavitha alone is not Telangana: D K Aruna

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC, K Kavitha on Wednesday tried to equate the ED notice served on her in the Delhi Excise Policy Scam as an attack on Telangana.

In a statement she said Telangana will never bow before the oppressive anti-people regime of the power mongers in Delhi.

In a sharp reaction to Kavitha’s statement, BJP leader D K Aruna said Kavitha alone is not Telangana and the state’s self-respect. ED served notice on her just like any other accused. She cannot claim any special status. She is treated on par with other accused.

Aruna said the union government accords respect for women and it is committed for the welfare of women.

Congress leader Ponnam Prabhakar said Kavitha deeply damaged Telangana’s self-respect. It is an insult a woman is involved in liquor scam. But the entire drama is part of BRS-BJP gameplan.
