Telangana: Civil Judge suspended for grave misconduct

Principal Junior Civil Judge-cum-Additional Metropolitan Magistrate, Bommathi Bhavani, working at Kukatpally court in Ranga Reddy district has been suspended on Tuesday on charges of grave misconduct.

In an official communication sent to Ranga Reddy court authorities, Registrar (Vigilance), K Sai Rama Devi said prima facie case of grave misconduct is found against the junior civil judge and is placed under suspension with immediate effect.

Further, disciplinary proceedings are contemplated against the erring judge, Bhavani. The Registrar, vigilance said in her letter that continuance of Bhavani in the office would be prejudicial to the disciplinary proceedings to be initiated against her.

Sources in the judiciary said that the action comes after Bhavani released an accused in a narcotic drugs related case on personal bond without considering the evidences produced by the Cyberabad police.
