One cannot escape the long arm of the law. In this case, a couple, eluding police for over a decade, has been arrested by the sleuths of Crime Investigation Department (CID) of the Telangana police.
According to additional director general of police, CID, Shikha Goel, the accused couple – Manikonda Anjaneyulu and his wife Manikonda Reeta – have gone into hiding after multiple cases of cheating were registered against them.
The CID chief said that the couple availed a huge business loan of Rs 27 crore from State Bank of India’s Balanagar branch. However, they became defaulters and vanished from Hyderabad following which the bank lodged a case against the couple.
