Three assailants kill fuel station worker, search on for killers

Three men attacked the employees working at a fuel station in Janwada locality of Narsingi police station limits, killing one of them and injuring another. This incident occurred little after midnight on Monday.

According to police, the assailants, driving a car approached the fuel station little after midnight on Monday for refuelling. However, the staff refused to refuel since the outlet was closed.

But the occupants of the car repeatedly requested the fuel station workers for refuel saying they need to travel long distance on an emergency. Finally, the workers refuelled the car.

The problem began after refuelling when the occupants of the car tried to pay through their card. The fuel station employees requested for cash payment as the swipe machine did not work.

But the enraged occupants of the car picked up a quarrel and began beating up the cashier. One of the employees, named Sanjay tried to stop the assailants but the latter beat him up black and blue. As a result, Sanjay collapsed.

The assailants got frightened and fled the scene, while co-workers of the fuel station rushed Sanjay to a hospital where he was declared dead.

The fuel station management informed the police about the incident. Police verified the CCTV footage of the fuel station and identified the assailants as Narender, Mallesh and Anup of Janwada village.

Police registered a case of murder and launched manhunt for the assailants.
