Telangana gets eight new government medical colleges

Telangana government appears to be on a spree to open as many medical colleges as possible in the state. 

If one had to buy the words of finance and health minister, T Harish Rao, the BRS government will ensure one medical for one district bringing medical education to the doorsteps of Telangana people. 

Accordingly, the state government has issued an order for opening eight new government medical colleges with an intake of 100 seats in each college. With this, number of medical seats available in the state will reach 10,000. 

The new medical colleges will be opened in Jogulamba Gadwal, Narayanapet, Mulugu, Warangal, Yadadri, Ranga Reddy and Medchal Malkajgiri districts.  

Harish Rao took to twitter to thank the chief minister for granting eight new medical colleges. 

The minister tweeted, “One Medical College for One district, a vision of Hon’ble CM Shri KCR garu is going to be a reality. Here are the new 8 medical colleges approved by state government adding to the existing medical colleges. In tune to the vision of #ArogyaTelangana these colleges will foster more opportunities for students to pursue medical education and further enhance healthcare services in districts”.
