Sahithi Infra director Sathwik detained

Telangana police detained Sahithi Infra director, Boodati Sathwik on Tuesday when he was allegedly trying to flee India.

Sathwik is accused in over 40 cases of cheating along with his father and mother. Sahithi Infra is accused of cheating about 1200 people on the pretext of pre-launch offers on apartments.

Police had in December arrested Sathwik’s father Laxminarayana and mother Parvathi in connection with the cases. Sathwik was on the run since then. Consequently, police issued a look-out notice against him.

Immigration officials at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad stopped Sathwik and his wife when they were in the process of boarding a Dubai-bound flight and alerted the city police.

On information, city police detained him. He will be produced before the court for further proceedings.

Sahithi group has over 40 FIRs registered against it in different parts of the city and is accused of cheating 1,200 customers of ₹1,500 crore with pre-launch offers for apartments in its real estate ventures.
